Huge billboards, touch-screen adverts, in-flight magazines – arrivals and departures all – will be barraged with the new Jaguar XJ for a whole month. And it’s a clever – and cost-effective – move by Jaguar.
The Senate added $2 billion to "cash for clunkers" on Thursday, ending a week of suspense about whether the popular new program would have to shut down for lack of funds. The bill, identical to the one that passed the House last week, now goes to President Barack Obama for his signature. The administration has pushed hard for the new funding.

The big news with the fourth-generation M3 is the switch to a 4.0-litre V8 engine, which produces some 80bhp more than the outgoing 3.2-litre six.
